Made from recycled ABS resin shell, recycled stainless steel, recycled timber turned base or optional new breed timber-bioplastic base, the Kiljuhani swivel chair is a Triple Top Line consumer product. The Chair is upholstered in organic hemp and padded with natural Latex Rubber. The product re-uses old tooling for the chair shell that was gathering dust at Wharington International from 1970’s. The base and upholstery design has been inspired by the magnificent Kiljuhanhi Artic Goose – observed in Finland. The Kiljuhanhi is Europe’s most endangered bird and its demise is attributed directly to Global Warming.
- All natural or recycled materials – the product has a positive carbon count
- Creates awareness of the critically endangered Kiljuhanhi and
- community trying to protecting it – ranging from Finland to Greece.
- The chair has modular componentry and can be upgraded to a bar stool by trading the base back with the manufacturer – for product longevity.
- Product made by a cooperative of small manufacturers, allowing mass customisation and flexibility to adapt to environmental concerns.
