Brian and Marg are retirees in their mid 60’s, sprightly, fit and engaged with life more than ever. They are travelling around Australia seeing all the beautiful natural places there are. They are currently in the Daintree Rainforest and are learning more each day about the fragile ecosystem. They are responsible campers. Their 4WD runs on gas, they have solar panels for power and only camp in approved areas. When they return home, Brian thinks he may put his corporate experience to good use and help out small businesses with an eco focus.
Brian: “ You know I guess we’re like a lot of people. We’d never really thought much about the environment until our eldest granddaughter ...”
Marg: “ Jade”
Brian: ‘Yes Jade, well she’s really passionate about it and she’s got herself a degree in environmental science
Marg: “She got honours you know.”
Brian: “Yes she’s a smart one that Jade…anyhow, we hadn’t really though about it much until then, but now, well now we’re keeping up. We’ve moved our investments into Ethical Investments. Infact these wetlands are one of them now...” ”
Marg: “Yes we thought it would be fun to visit them”
Brian: “Yes this is land for Wildlife – it’s protected…Beautiful isn’t it.”
Marg: “Do you know we saw a wallaby earlier today”
Brian: “Oh yes wasn’t that marvellous...”
