Chardonnay Greenies (downsizers) 

Dave and Justin own a 10 acre property in rural Victoria. They moved from the city 6 years ago to establish their dream of creating a gourmet retreat for foodies. They live in an architect-designed strawbale house surrounded by a lushious permaculture garden. They have planted out 5 acres of vines and plan to become a boutique winery for friends and guests. They run a B&B on weekends and specialised gourmet cooking workshops. They are passionately involved in the Slow Food movement, belong to the local CFA and love the choice they’ve made to live the ‘good life’.

Dave: “You know we were both so busy. We just worked and went out really. It sounds good but in the end it just wasn’t enough. We had everything we could possibly need except time.”
Justin: “Yes and time together.”
Dave: “So now, well now we still work hard, but it’s just so much more rewarding. It took us ages to find the right place with the right soil for growing, but then we found this darling man to design our home and we had our first pressing last year which was really exciting.”
Justin: “Organic wine, home grown food and we’re only open on weekends! It’s all so easy.”
